WANT A MINI-COACHING EXPERIENCE?

Answer the question below, and let us walk you through 1 exercise to enhance your "POSITIVE IMAGERY."

What are your thoughts and feelings about the item below? Check the response which is the most true for you: a, b, or c

1. When something bad financially is happening in my life:

  1. it comes into my mind from time to time, even when I don't want to think about it, and sometimes I have difficulty getting it out of my mind
  2. I spend a great deal of time thinking and worrying about it
  3. I give it the thought it deserves, do my best to correct it, and then go on to other things

THE ABOVE QUESTION MEASURES "POSITIVE IMAGERY" the skill of seeing and feeling yourself as truly abundant and empowered with money and life.

To understand your scores: We define Prosperity Thinking as a mindset of beliefs, expectations, and feelings based upon realistically expansive levels of abundance, optimism, and well-being. In contrast, Poverty Thinking is a mindset of beliefs, expectations, and feelings based upon unrealistic levels of scarcity, pessimism, and ill-being.

  1. is a midrange answer (the most common response.)
  2. is a "Poverty Thinking" response on this question (given by a fair number of people.)
  3. is a "Prosperity Thinking" response on this question (the least common response.)

"POSITIVE IMAGERY" can be the most challenging of the 10 psychological money and life skills to improve. Check out the exercise below. By practicing it, you can begin to enhance your skill in seeing and feeling yourself as truly abundant and empowering with money. We also have numerous other exercises and tools to help you to further increase your "POSITIVE IMAGERY".

AN EXERCISE TO ENHANCE YOUR "POSITIVE IMAGERY"

We have been supporting many of our clients to incorporate the "GRATITUDE" exercise into a daily habit. They tell us how much fun they have, how effortless the exercise becomes, and how much they look forward to engaging in it. They also report larger increases in their "POSITIVE IMAGERY" and in manifesting their goals than clients who do the exercise occassionaly.

Just follow the instructions below, and have as much fun as you can.

"GRATITUDE EXERCISE"

For every day of one week, do your best to think of 2 to 5 experiences in the past couple of days for which you feel genuine appreciation or gratitude. They can be small or great. Examples can include things like:

  1. an unexpected good interaction with someone
  2. someone who treated you well
  3. someone you were able to help
  4. something you accomplished and feel good about
  5. something beautiful you experienced
  6. something you learned
  7. something that enhanced your Prosperity Thinking or reduced your Poverty Thinking, etc.

Vividly imagine them one at a time, and note how you feel during and right afterward. Do this at least once per day. Some of our clients do it twice daily, once in the morning hours and once before bedtime. See how soon you can think of at least 4-5 experiences every day. In time, you can notice when you become aware of feeling gratitude during or shortly after you are experiencing them. This awareness can be highly empowering and enjoyable!

At the end of 1 week, write down what you have learned from the exercise.

TO SCORE OR NOT TO SCORE: This is optional. Some of our clients have more fun and are more motivated to do the exercise if they track their progress by "keeping score." Others enjoy it much more by not keeping score.

SCORING:

Each day for 1 week, give yourself 1 point for every gratitude experience you can recall during the prior 24 hours (a maximum of 5 points per day or 35 for the week), 1 point for each one you vividly imagine (a maximum of 5 points per day or 35 for the week), and 10 points for writing down what you have learned from the game at the end of 1 week. See how much your score improves form the first day to the seventh day.

A total of 80 points is possible. If you score 38 or higher, you are off to a good start. Keep practicing until you get at least 66 points. Based upon the benefits our clients have experienced, we suggest you participate with this exercise until it becomes an almost daily habit.

Remember ... If these exercises do not resonate strongly enough with you, we have an abundance of exercises attuned to different types of clients' needs and goals. This mini-coaching experience is one of many we use to coach clients who want to enhance their "POSITIVE IMAGERY," the skill of seeing and feeling yourself as truly abundant and empowered with money.
