The psychology of money is about how our beliefs, expectations, and feelings influence our financial behavior, success, or disappointment. This means that financial success is an "inside job" and is more determined by what's between our ears and inside our hearts than what's outside of them.

Money is an area in which our early upbringing can create strong emotions and irrational behavior. That's why, despite the size of our portfolio, nest egg, or income, we all have psychological challenges with money.

It's important to realize that money itself is not the culprit. Money is neutral; it's just pieces of paper, plastic, or electronic digits. The true cause, the source of our money issues, is what money represents in our minds. We have a strong tendency to behave automatically based upon the early money messages and scripts we were given. The psychology of money helps us to become more aware of our money issues, how we might sabotage ourselves and how we can create more success.

Although Psychology of Money emphasizes money, the same mind set and energy that create financial success also manifest success in relationships and other important areas in life. Simply stated, the areas in which people succeed depend upon their Prosperity and Poverty Thinking and their values.
